Public health
The Nordic Welfare Centre has coordinated a nordic tobacco project, the purpose of which is to contribute to the strengthening and development of the Nordic countries’ national efforts to combat tobacco addiction.

- The importance of flavourings to the use of snus and e-cigarettes
- Smoke-free environments
The project was implemented in close cooperation with officials, practitioners, and researchers who work with tobacco issues in the Nordic region.
Project results
- A publication about smoking cessation initiatives in the Nordic countries, with examples of specific smoking cessation projects
- A report based on research which focuses on the importance of flavourings to the use of snus and e-cigarettes, with a particular focus on young people in the Nordic region
The Nordic Tobacco Project was implemented within the framework of the Nordic Arena for Public Health Issues.
