Welcome to this afternoon seminar on Nordic and European cooperation on disability– how can we create a region for all?
Disability policy is cross sectoral. The Nordic cooperation has three tools to realise the political goal of a region for all. These are an Action Plan, A Disability Council and Nordic Welfare Center which is an institution that gather knowledge, facilitate and coordinate expert groups and manage projects.
During the seminar, we invite you to discuss several important issues. For example cross cutting aspects of disability policy and regional cooperation:
- Inclusive decision making
- Equality perspective
- Promoting the many values of universal design and accessibility in public policy
