Digital konferens: Good and equal health in the Nordics
Folkhälsa
All the Nordic countries aim for good and equal health in the population. This conference will explore lessons learned and insights gained from a selection of current work on health-promoting and preventive measures. What brings these initiatives together is the way in which they seek to strengthen community and social relations.
The 2024 Swedish Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers welcomes Nordic and Baltic officials working with public health to a digital conference. The conference is broadcast live from Stockholm on 7 May 2024 between 10–16 CET. All participants are online.

The conference will discuss the following three topics:
- Meaningful and active leisure
How do the Nordic countries support meaningful and active leisure for children and young people? How can we ensure that all youth have equal opportunities to leisure activities? What lessons can be learned from various initiatives?
- Screentime and digital media use
With increasing prevalence of digital devices in our daily lives, what challenges does digital media use pose to children and adolescents? What measures have been taken on a national level in the Nordic countries, how are the different guidelines developed and what supportive measures are needed to create healthy digital media use?
- Loneliness and social isolation
Loneliness in all its forms is a huge challenge in the Nordics. What preventive measures can we apply to foster stronger social connections within our communities? Are there promising initiatives?
