The Nordic Welfare Centre warmly welcome officials and experts to a seminar on smoke-free places, 19th September 2018 in Iceland. The seminar is for invited guests only.
Smoking and tobacco is one of the greatest threats to public health in the Nordic region and globally, but it is preventable.
The Nordic Welfare Centre coordinates a Nordic project about tobacco to contribute to the strengthening and development of the Nordic countries’ national efforts to combat tobacco addiction.
As a part of the project the Nordic Welfare Centre holds a seminar on smoke-free places for officials and experts, 19th September 2018 in Iceland.
The seminar will be in English and for invited guests only.

13:20 – 14:30 Update from each country on their current and future work with smoke-free places (10 min. presentation each)

Directions to the venue:
The seminar will take place at Hótel Örk, Breiðamörk 1c, 810 Hveragerði, within 43 km from Reykjavik city centre and 84 km from Keflavik International Airport. From the airport you can reach the hotel by coach/bus and public transport or by taxi. The journey time is approximately 1 hour by taxi. Remember to ask the taxi for a fixed price!
Getting from the airport to Hótel Örk by coach/bus and public transport
Take a coach/bus from the airport towards Reykjavik and alight at the bus terminal.

In Reykjavik you must change to a local bus to go to Hótel Örk, in Hveragerði.
You can look up the timetable for bus no. 52 (or 51) under the tab Timetable – Bus routes in South Iceland or use the Route planner at https://straeto.is/en/ to find your way. Type in Hveragerði – Shell as the place you are going to/getting off at when using the route planner. The stop is 400 m. from Hótel Örk.
Getting from the airport to Hótel Örk by taxi
