Disability issues
Promising practices for labour market inclusion, partnerships and the use of AI for young people with invisible disabilities
This webinar brings together experts, youth leaders and members of the Council of Nordic Cooperation on Disability to discuss opportunities and challenges related to labour market inclusion for young people with disabilities.
The webinar will begin with a brief overview of the current status of labour market inclusion for young people with disabilities in the Nordic countries.
Young people’s own perspectives will be highlighted through a presentation from SUMH on their project Ban vejen for job (Paving the way to employment), focusing on the aspirations, expectations and experiences of young people who wish to participate and contribute in the labour market.
The programme will also explore the perspectives of employers and other stakeholders. Presentations will include the Danish initiative Ungeløftet and a status update on the development of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approaches across the Nordic region, highlighting the importance of partnerships and collaboration between public authorities, employers and civil society.

Two projects will be presented: NewWorkTech, which aims to improve accessibility and inclusion in the world of work and promote the human rights of persons with disabilities, and Disability Tech. Young people with lived experience will also share their perspectives on the use of AI in work situations.
The presentations will be followed by reflections from representatives of Nordic youth organisations for persons with disabilities and members of theCouncil of Nordic Cooperation on Disability , as well as an open Q&A session with the speakers.
