Nordic seminar on life adjustment
Funktionshinder
Welcome to this seminar hosted by the Nordic network on USHER syndrome, on life adjustment. Living with dual sensory loss/deafblindness requires several adaptations over time. In 2012 the life adjustment model was published, focusing on transitions occurring during the life span when living with acquired deafblindness. In this seminar we will guide you through and reflect together on this model and its meaning for persons living with dual sensory loss/deafblindness.
Within the field of deafblindness, the life adjustment model has been used as a tool commonly to understand various aspects of the individual’s transitions, and how they cope with these transitions and changes. This seminar will provide the participants with an overview, a historical perspective and how it has been used in research and practice.
The different perspectives will be discussed and reflected upon during the seminar.
The seminar is by the Nordic Network on USHER syndrome.

The seminar consists of lectures, group discussions, and examples from practice.
