Migrants and the Nordic Labour Market: In the Shadow of the Pandemic
Integration
The labour market integration of immigrants has been a major political concern in the Nordic countries. Already before the COVID-19 pandemic employment rates among immigrants have been substantially lower than those of native-born. The pandemic has however aggravated the situation further.
The key aim of this conference is to bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners in search for sustainable solutions and to promote exchange of experience between the Nordic countries. The main questions are how we can build a resilient recovery after the pandemic and how we can make the Nordic labour market more inclusive?
At the conference you will hear about:
- Effective solutions to facilitate inclusion of refugees and immigrants in the labour market
- Policy analysis on general and targeted policies affecting the integration in the Nordic labour markets
- The role of civil society and non-governmental organisations in integration efforts
- The labour market attachment among young refugees in the Nordic countries
You can either participate on site in Stockholm or follow the conference online.
Speech-to-text interpretation from Scandinavian to English (subtitles) will be provided online.
