Migrants and the Nordic Labour Market: In the Shadow of the Pandemic
The labor market integration of immigrants has been a major political concern in the Nordic countries. Already before the COVID-19 pandemic. Employment rates among immigrants have been substantially lower and unemployment rates have been higher, than those of native-born. The pandemic has further aggravated the situation.
The key aim of this hybrid conference on November 18th was to bring together researchers, policymakers and practitioners in search for sustainable solutions and to promote exchange of experience between the Nordic countries. The main questions were how we can build a resilient recovery after the pandemic and make the Nordic labour market more inclusive.
