This report summarizes the key findings and insights from the conference The right of children and young people to be heard, seen, and involved in the Nordic region, held in Helsinki on 4–5 June 2025. The event, hosted by the Nordic Welfare Centre, marked the conclusion of a four-year initiative launched in 2021 to strengthen the right of children and young people to participate in decision-making — particularly in response to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.Launched in 2021 and supported by NORDBUK and the Nordic Council of Ministers, the project responded to research showing that children’s voices were largely overlooked during the pandemic.
