The Nordic Safe Cities political summit in Stockholm, engaging Nordic mayors, Nordic Ministers, and 80+ Nordic cities politicians and practitioners. Co-hosted with the Swedish Minister of Justice, Morgan Johansson, the Mayor of Stockholm, Anna König Jerlmyr, General Secretary of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Paula Lehtomäki, and the Nordic Safe Cities alliance.

The Summit, taking place in Stockholm on December 12, 2019, will showcase examples of how cities are already delivering on their strong commitments and accelerate their ambition to create strong, resilient and safe cities across the Nordic region in the future. The 2019 Summit aims to build a coalition of leading cities, ministries and citizens.

The summit will take stock of the actions being taken in cities and organisations across the Nordics to make communities safer. It will give you insights from 15 Nordic cities on stage and be a launchpad for new initiatives in 2020 in the Nordic Safe Cities Alliance.

Nordic Safe Cities is an alliance working to ensure safe and resilient cities in the Nordics. Together we help our members develop solutions that create safer cities, stand against the rise of polarisation and safeguard citizens from extremist hate, violence and fear.

Nordic Safe Cities was initiated and funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2016 and has since then brought together more than 50 cities from the Nordic Region as well as +800 experts and professionals together.  The alliance in a non-profit organization with office in Copenhagen, Denmark.
