Mental well-being as a key to integration in the Nordic countries
The conference in Reykjavik addresses the connection between immigrants’ mental health and the possibilities for full and active participation in the new society.
Mental well-being helps people make the most of education opportunities and thrive in working and social life – all crucial for sustainable integration.
In this conference the aim is to present research, discuss challenges, and identify solutions to enhancing the mental well-being of people with migrant backgrounds. What change do we want to see and how should we move forward? What policy measures should be taken to ensure sustainable integration?
We welcome all experts working in the field of integration. Together we will gain new knowledge and explore different ways of supporting the well-being and social inclusion of people with migrant backgrounds. We will also have plenty of opportunities to meet and share experiences with colleagues across the Nordic region.
The conference is a physical event and requires registration. No digital participation or recordings will be available.
The conference is arranged by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour in Iceland, and the Nordic Council of Ministers.
