About PopNAD
PopNAD is a popular science website for Nordic social science research on alcohol, drugs, doping, tobacco and gambling.
PopNAD is part of the Nordic Welfare Centre, an institution under the Nordic Council of Ministers.
PopNAD contributes to fulfilling the Nordic Welfare Centre’s mission of disseminating and making accessible Nordic research on alcohol, drugs, doping, tobacco, nicotine products, and gambling (ANDTG)
Articles are published in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, and English. We work to make social science research accessible to a wider audience, stimulate informed public debate, and provide Nordic perspectives on issues related to ANDTG.
The website is affiliated with the scientific journal Nordic Studies on Alcohol and Drugs (NAD), but operates according to an independent editorial policy and on a non-profit basis.
PopNAD’s Editorial Policy
We welcome contributions from researchers and other experts. Contributions may take the form of popular science articles, analyses, or commentaries that are based on research and promote knowledge and understanding within PopNAD’s fields of interest.
Editorial decisions are made by the editor, and the editorial team independently determines which contributions are published.
