How do preparedness systems in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden address vulnerable and marginalised people and the continuity of social and long-term care?
The global situation, with increased geopolitical tensions and climate change, is placing new demands on society’s resilience and preparedness.
A new report will be launched at the webinar: Nordic preparedness plans in the social and long-term care sector – A study of policy in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. The report examines how preparedness planning addresses vulnerable and marginalised people and the continuity of social and long-term care. The authors will present the main findings in the report, as well as recommendations and suggestions for policy development.
The webinar will move from the Nordic policy landscape to practical reflection and point out recommendations for;
- stronger mechanisms for identifying changing needs;
- meaningful participation;
- mapping of critical dependencies and minimum service levels;
- clearer responsibilities;
- measures to address unequal self-preparedness;
- and a stronger focus on implementation, joint exercises and demonstrated capability in Nordic learning.
The webinar will be moderated by Deputy Head of Centre and Associate Professor, Rasmus Dahlberg from SECURE – Centre for Societal Security and Resilience, Roskilde University.
