We warmly welcome Nordic social scientists in the fields of alcohol, drug and gambling to the Nordic Alcohol and Drug Researchers’ Assembly (NADRA) at Hotel Arkipelag, Mariehamn, Åland 6 – 8 September 2022.
This year NADRA focuses on marginalization and complex problems as challenges for Nordic social sustainability. Participants are encouraged to submit thematic contributions regarding new and old marginalization, complex problem pictures, welfare state recalibration and gambling policies. Abstracts not related to these themes are also welcome.
Conference registration and abstract submission is now open. The deadline for registration and submission of abstracts is 15 May 2022.

Abstracts
We warmly welcome abstracts related to these topics, as well as other topics within the field of social, alcohol and drug research. Abstracts can be written and presented in English, Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish. Abstracts should be no longer than 400 words. We also welcome participants without abstracts.
Registration and fees
The deadline for registration and submission of abstracts is 15 May 2022. Notification of accepted abstracts will be given 18 May 2022 per email.
The maximum number of participants is 70. Participants with accepted abstracts are prioritised.
The registration fee for the Nordic Alcohol and Drug Researcher´s Assembly is 100 Euro, and it includes lunches, coffees, and participation in social activities. Invoices will be sent to all participants after 18 May 2022.
NB! Participants are required to cover their own travel and accommodation fees.
Venue and accommodation
Hotel Arkipelag is located in the centre of Mariehamn, close to the sea. A quota of hotel rooms has been reserved for NADRA participants. Please book your room by sending an e-mail to info@hotellarkipelag.ax or by calling +358 18 24020, using the code NADRA. A single room including breakfast is 140 Euro pr. night.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Welcome reception
We invite all conference participants to participate in the welcome reception in the restaurant at Hotel Arkipelag on Tuesday 6 September 2022.
Conference dinner
The conference dinner will be held at Restaurant Smakbyn on Wednesday 7 September 2022 at 19:00. Restaurant Smakbyn is located close to Kastelholm, a stately medieval castle on the shores of Lumparn Bay. A three-course dinner is included in the registration fee. Drinks are available for purchase during dinner. Bus transport will be arranged from Hotel Arkipelag to Restaurant Smakbyn and back. The bus trip takes approximately 20 minutes.
